That really didn't hurt as much as others say! :) But i hope it won't get infected. For guests out there, the tragus is the protruding part of the ear after the ear canal. Here is a picture of the tragus with a small piercing.
It is very important that you clean both sides of the tragus after getting a piercing. It looks good today, but if it gets infected you can look forward to a hospital operation and say goodbye to your tragus. You can clean your tragus the way i'm cleaning it now, with warm water and a little salt. You can also try alternating soap with antibacterial soap. My piercer told me that you should keep your first piercing intact for 12-18 weeks to lessen the risk of infection. Also, make sure that you don't touch the piercing with your hands unless it is really necessary. Refrain from turning it as it could irritate the wound. So while cleaning it, only use a fresh cotton bud or a clean washcloth. Continue doing this and we'll both have very little to no swelling at all! At least according to my piercer.
