My Piercing feels hot, and i think i'm getting a fever. So i did a little research to see if it is infected. And came up with interesting results. Here are the symptoms of an infected piercing. Please don't look at this while eating, seriously.
-Increased Pain
-Tenderness
-Redness Around the Piercing
-Dark Coloured Discharge
-Prolonged Bleeding
-The pierced area will have a bad smell
-Skin Color will change
-Area feels hot
-Black Tissue (dead tissue) build up
-Fever
So i think my piercing is infected. Try to check these symptoms if you are worried as well. I dont know how it got infected, maybe because i forgot to clean it once yesterday. Remember to always clean the piercing 3-4 times a day with a clean swab and alcohol. And whenever a pierced area is infected, try to keep the piercing in place until the area heals. Next time let's discuss how to effectively treat an infection at home, with the supervision of your piercer or doctor of course.
