Love Gone Wrong

  •  Love Gone Awry.

Have you ever fallen so madly in love that you want to carry not only your loved one's essence in your heart but also want his/her name written on your skin and flaunt it to the world? Well, you're not alone! Many celebrities have fallen into this temporary state of madness and made the mistake of having their skin tattoed with the name of their "current" beloved. If you share their sentiments, I hope you don't change girlfriends or boyfriends in the same frequency you change you underwear, because if you do, you will end up like a walking magazine!

Let's look at some examples of love gone awry, from the lives of the savvy.

Look who we have here. Whoa, it's Johnny Depp!

You'll never think Jack Sparrow would make that mistake, but oh man, the hard core did fall into the trap after all. During his three year engagement with actress Winona Ryder, he carried upon his shoulders the mark "Winona Forever"! Lucky Johnny, he only had to have two letters deleted to make it read Wine Forever!

Who would have thought Angie loved someone other than Brad Pitt that much, she would be willing to wear his name up her sleeves? But look and be appaled! Lucky Billy Bob Thornton had his share of exposure on Angies's skin (at least his name) for a while, though presently it is already replaced by the geographical coordinates of her adoptive children's birthplaces.

The hotel heiress must have thought that at age 22 she would have found her true love in the arms of one of the Backstreet Boys. Well, she's was in for a surprise, obviously. In the game of love, all is fair, and not even a princess has the guarantee to pull it off everytime. Well, it was good till it lasted, or shall I say till the ink lasted? I'm not really sure. What I know is that there's some lucky tatto artist who got the privilege of removing Paris Hilton's permanent ink from her butt!

Baywatch Babe Pamela Anderson went unconventional when she married Tommy Lee - she chose to forgo the traditional wedding ring and had Tommy's name tattooed around her finger instead. Lucky Pamela, all she had to do was change the T to M and "Tommy" easily became "Mommy". Not so with poor Tom or his less fortunate partners after Pamela. Every woman will have to put up with Pamela's name on Tom's private part, Cheer up girls. When you think of the laser alternative, well...

Did reality star Kat Von D really believed that a philanderer who cheated on his Oscar-winning wife would stick with her? Well, she may have realized that too late, and now that they are off, it will be difficult to take out his face out of her rib cage. Well, it will be lost in the crowd anyways.

Shortly after Halle Berry's divorce to pro baseball player David Justice, she had his name removed from her right buttock. Hmmm. The only people who benefitted most from this game were the tattoo artists. How could some people get so lucky?

Even Charlie Sheen was not immune to this state of temporary madness.  At one point in his life, Charlie went crazy over wife Dennis Richards that he had her name permanently inked on the inside of his left wrist. Today, years after their split up, that name has been changed to "winning", and his left wrist boasts of his initial. Well, let's hope Charlie Sheen really gets to win a lasting relationship this time.

In Fairness, Dennis also wore Charlie's name on her ankle during the four years of their marriage. Today, Charlie has been turned into a fairy... uh uh. At least the name on her ankle. Is that an allusion to an illusion? Well, one thing's sure. These celebs have really learned their lesson.

So if you are head over heels in love at the moment, think twice before you have your beau's name permanently inked on your skin. In this generation of uncertainty, I strongly recommend piercing your nose instead. But I have a better idea. Why not permanently etch each other's name and being in the chamber of your hearts? That way, there will be no need  to erase each other's name, for you wouldn't be losing each other at all if you do so.
