Microdermal Piercings: More Permanent than Other Piercings

  • The first thing you need to know about micro dermal piercings is that they're semi-permanent body piercings. To have them put in, they put a small hole in your skin, and slip a flat piece of metal underneath with a screw-hole that sticks out, and then you screw the actual stud or jewellery into this screw hole. This are more permanent than other piercings, so think long and hard if you actually want one.

The pain factor is rather difficult to determine, as some people claim that they hurt a lot, while others say that they felt next to nothing. However, one thing that everyone was certain of was that they loved the look, and were very happy that they got them done. Some common areas to get implants include near the hips, on the cheek bones, and down the middle of the chest. If you one day decide that you don't like them, they'll have to make a small incision in your skin to take it out, so as to leave less scarring.
