  Somebody think that nape piercing is not safe as it take places behind the neck. Generally, there are several nerves available behind the neck. But getting a nerve piercing don't put your nerves at risk. This is really safe. On the other hand, it is performed by the professionals. So, as per me it is safe. What do you think?

  I think that would be pretty dangerous. There are a couple of nerves on the nape that are directly connected to the spinal column and are responsible for your consciousness and movement. So i think that would be okay if professionals have medical knowledge on the placement of nerves on the nape.

  I dont agree with thomas. If an expert do this then there is nothing to worry. I know some of my friends who have this and they told me that it was so easy.

  Well, maybe they are just lucky. But there is still that unprecedented risk that piercing practitioners could hit a nerve. When that happens, you won't have any use for your body coz you'll be paralyzed you know?

  If you are that worried about nape piercings. Then don't get one at all. And besides nape piercings are surface piercings where a plate is inserted under the skin properly. The professional piercer should measure the plate to be put under the skin properly to minimize the risk of rejection and migration. Under the nape area skin, there are still a bunch of muscles that protect the bones and nerves so there is nothing to worry about as no piercing practitioner will intentionally pierce your nape muscles. And because of the bar or plate inserted, the nerves will be properly protected. Breaking the paralyze myth on nape piercings.
