The cause of whiteness is probably the overuse of mouthwash. Most mouthwashes contains Listerine; an alcohol that can harm your healthy bacteria that is helping in your healing process of the piercing. The solution here is not to use mouthwash so often or you could dilute the mouthwash with water in the ratio 50/50 percentage, another alternative is to use the saline solution as your mouthwash.
